Being eco-friendly and sustainable is not only a key concern for modern businesses it is also on trend with businesses and consumers. Green events are an up and coming business sector and vary massively. They can range for business conferences to concerts, sporting events and personal events such as weddings. This trend is being referred to as Eco Chic and many events are now incorporating elements of this or are trying to make their event 100% sustainable.
It is expensive and time consuming to make an event 100% sustainable. Organizers must look at the venue, transportation, food, audio-visual equipment and lighting, accommodation, event materials and entertainment.
It is also extremely difficult to provide all this in a sustainable way while still retaining the luxury and aesthetically stunning environment that many clients want for their event.
Green industry is still growing and it will become easier and easier to gain access to green venues, products and technologies. For now, it is a case of organizers and planners working harder and researching more to make events as green as they can be. Green events are a great way for businesses to impress clients or for people to impress their guests at personal events. It is still unique, impressive and built for a niche market. Anyone planning an event should consider adding a bit of Eco Chic to their event to truly impress their guests and jump slightly ahead of the band wagon.
